Karen’s love for music stems
from early childhood, playing trumpet in local elderly homes
with her grandmother and singing in the church choir. In
her early 20’s she joined a country band as the lead
singer. That lasted one song, of the first gig. Knowing the
words she was singing were just not her and had no hope in
them, she left the stage in tears as God tugged at her heart.
Over the years she’s played
in and lead worship in various churches. Her goal in life
is to be used by God, to love Him and to love others, to
do her best to live pure and holy before Him. As she grows
older, she knows for a fact that outside of God’s
love there is nothing for her in this life that has any
meaning.
Her all time favorite verse
in the Bible is Proverbs 3:5: “[Karen], trust in the
Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your
paths.”
Karen lives in Lockwood, NY
with her three pit bulls, Tasha, Brandi, and Baby, and has
two sons and a God-given daughter, Robin, who lives in New
Jersey. |

Tessie and Karen are sisters and have been
singing together their entire lives; just now they do it
in front of people! Tessie has 4 children and has been
happily married for 26 years to Brian. She has 2 beautiful
grandchildren whom she cherishes. She grew up in Waverly
but now resides in Lowman NY. Brian and she built their
home together, of which she is very proud. She went to
the Christian Academy in Waverly, NY and has always loved
the Lord and accepted Him into her heart when she was young.
She is currently taking piano lessons. Tessie has been
very blessed and thanks God every day for his blessings
in her life. Her goal is to one day hear Christ say, "Well
done my good and faithful servant".

Marie has been working with Karen for 10 years, running the sound for the worship
times and for Restoration, one of Karen's bands. She is now responsible for
Sweet Aroma’s sound, publicity, and photography. She recently has also
been branching out to provide devotionals when Karen takes her break between
the sets. She likes the 2007 theme of “New Beginnings” because
she sees it as the common thread of God’s love and mercy in scripture. “It
is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions
fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations
3:22-23. She loves to read of all the “second chances” in scripture:
Ruth, Moses, David, Elijah, Lazarus, Peter, Paul, and many more.
Marie grew up going to church
regularly but made a commitment to deepen her relationship
with God when she was in college. She teaches 8th grade
Spanish at Tioga Middle School in Tioga Center, NY. She
loves to travel and has been to Spain, Costa Rica, England,
Scotland, and Ireland. Marie lives in Waverly, NY.
