1 Thessalonians 3:1-4
Some think that troubles are always caused by sin or a lack of faith.
Trials may be a part of God’s plan for believers. Experiencing problems and persecutions
can build character, perseverance and sensitivity toward others who also face
troubles. Problems are unavoidable for God’s people. Your troubles
may be a sign of effective Christian living.
Some people turn to God with the hope of escaping suffering on earth.
But he doesn’t promise that. Instead he gives us power to grow
through our sufferings. The Christian life involves obedience to Christ
despite
temptations and hardships.
On my computer I still have dial-up, most of the time I’d rather
give up than wait for my connection. But, if I did not know that another
way was
available
I would be satisfied with what I have. It is normally when we know something
better and faster is out there we become discontented with what we currently
have. Well, the more we grow in Christ and learn of him we should desire
to know more and more. We learn how much more is out there so our goal
should be never
to be content just knowing what we know and are currently experiencing,
our desire should be to increase our knowledge and intimacy with him.
In any relationship there will be some rocky roads because we are dealing
with two different personalities, but communication plays a huge role
in any successful
relationship. So is our relationship with Christ. Communication is a
need in growing in our relationship with him. When things come into our
lives
we can
not understand we need to communicate that to him. When we are hurting,
when temptation is knocking at our door, when sickness ravages us or
a loved one,
when depression lurks in our spirit, financial pressures etc...etc.,
all these things should bring us to that place of communication, otherwise
if we haven’t
had a constant form of communication when we are faced with these things in life
we will feel he has deserted us. He desires too, our excitement in life; in all
things give thanks…talk to him…he loves to hear your voice.
So when you are faced with trials in the times ahead remember you may be exactly
where God wants you, they may be there to continue to grow you. Most importantly
seek him, to be in constant communication with him and never to be satisfied
spiritually where you are. God has so much more for all of us
Remember this: Painful lessons are usually doorways to new opportunities.
**CD UPDATE: “Hope In Sight” should be out by early May 2006.
We are looking forward to getting it out there. We feel God has really
brought together a personal side of Sweet Aroma in this production. We
ask for your
prayers over
this CD that many people would be touched by the message that is throughout
all the songs.
We also have some T-shirts on order that will go along with our theme and the
CD.
