New Season
Here we are coming up on the end of May 2009 and Sweet Aroma is getting geared up for a very busy summer season.
Last month I really felt a need to ask God for his direction in my life. It seems as though I have been existing in a “Zone” of sorts. I have asked God to bring this ministry to another level of experience, deeper than just singing. I feel the urgency to be confident that we have shared our hearts the way God wants us to: His way, not our way.
I’ve grown troubled by what I see in the Christian realm today. I question, “Have we compromised too much?” Are we being the salt or are we applying a sugar coating to the seriousness of God and his Word? Are we examples of God’s love or are we minglers going with the flow? Do we contradict the Gospel with our lives? Christianity must not only be believed; it must be lived.
I’ve been realizing that I need to seek God’s wisdom in my life more and more every day. There are so many decisions we are faced with every day. The Lord knows in the past I have made some very faulty decisions in my life and have had to pay some hefty consequences (God never has left me during those consequences).
Wisdom: The ability to make wise decisions in a difficult time. Wisdom begins with respect for God, leads to right living and results in increased ability to tell right from wrong. To learn God’s will, we must read God’s word.
I would challenge you all to seek God’s wisdom in everything. We are living in very troubled times. I would dare say we need God desperately in our lives and in our decisions.
I would also ask that all who receive and read this note that you would keep Sweet Aroma in your prayers as well as the entire Body of Christ…we need each other!
Hope to see you soon.
Blessings,
Karen
