Let’s Live It Up!!

June 2006

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:
and his commandments are not grievous.

Jesus never promised that obeying him would be easy. Hard work, however, can be rewarding if we value its results. His commandments are not burdensome. The hard work and self-discipline of serving Christ is no burden to those who love him. And if our load starts to feel heavy, we can always trust Christ to help us bear it.

In 2 Peter 1:2 many people want more of God’s kindness (grace) and peace, but they are unwilling to put forth the effort to get to know him better through Bible study and prayer. To enjoy the privileges God offers us freely, we have to combine getting to know him better with complete trust.

In May we were asked to be part of the “Live Out Loud” weekend at Mt. Pisgah Church in East Smithfield, Pa. What a heart check for me! Pastor Ben spoke on being a Christian and that living according to God’s word should not be hard. Those words continue to ring in my ears. I know at times that I make it harder than it has to be. I question myself on, how much do I love the Lord, how willing am I to let him work the way he wants to work in my life, even if it means moving me out of my comfort zone? Will I trust him enough with my life even when everything looks dark ahead? Will I trust in the perfect plan he has for me? I really appreciated Pastor Ben’s word on Living Out Loud. Are we Living Out Loud by talking about it, or are we Living Out Loud by Living It?

Let’s Live Out Loud by our walk, not just our talk.

Our 3 rd CD, “Hope In Sight” is now available, as are T-shirts. They are going fast and we are so excited about how they are touching people’s lives.

We will be at the Strawberry Festival on June 17 th from 12-1 PM. Check out the website as we have some updates and some new pictures of the past few shows. www.sweetaromaband.com
